John is a retired business leader. For 23 years he was CEO of Willis Towers Watson, a multibillion dollar global human resources consulting and insurance brokerage firm with operations in more than 120 countries, which made him familiar with many different ways of working.
Today he is an Executive Partner at the private equity firm THL, Chairman of the Board of Maximus, and a board member at AmeriLife and at Risk and Regulatory Consulting LLC.
Service in South Florida
Ten years on the Board of Directors of the Miami Cancer Institute. He currently serves on the Board of the New World Symphony.
Global service
Invited to speak to the United Nations about a pioneering program his company developed to hire autistic individuals. Member of the Energy Transitions Commission and Chair of the Coalition for Climate Resilient Investment (CCRI), a UN flagship initiative.
Recognition
The Marco Polo Award, the highest honor the Chinese government bestows on a foreign business leader, and the Horatio Alger Award for Distinguished Americans.
Home and family
John and his wife, Jama, have made Ocean Club their home since 2003. Ocean Tower One is also home to their daughter, her husband and their three grandchildren, which gives John insight into the needs of several generations.
